Counting down to Kens solo leg. From Panama City to Hiva Oa in the French Marquesas. It’s about 4000 plus nautical miles!
He’s on his pat malone for 4 WEEKS. And even more if there’s no wind or something breaks. ? So, provision the food and drinks for our captain we must. Then there’s 2 weeks with the A team of Gail Thomas and Rachel James floating around these Polynesian islands. Very little in way of supermarkets over there so we keep filling the cupboards till no more will fit.
.So, Luis (everyone seems to be called either Luis or Edgar in Panama), our enterprising taxi driver, not only took us to the supermarket, but then walked around the isles with us explaining the local bargains, then managed to fit 3 full trolleys and 5 people into his car – much of it ending up on the roof…
Cabin Boy Mike then earned a few stripes doubling as the local donkey
…and we haven’t even begun the fresh food shop which needs to wait 10 days until we return from our ‘adventure holiday’.
Meanwhile, Ressie is happily ensconced in her new home, La Playita marina, just outside Panama City, which you can just see in the background.
Off to the jungle!
