We made it! Feels so good to see land!! And not a moment too soon for most of us. Oh Lordy. Its great to be on an anchor again and not be battling the scary sounds of all that banging and crashing of waves and wind. We lurched and burped and careered around a fair bit … Ok a LOT. It was akin to being thrown around in a washing machine, with the tiny bonus of remaining dry.

The 3 day adventure was everything we’d imagined. Bloody hard springs to mind. Very windy covers much of it. Beautiful moments with dolphins the first afternoon and then a full moon for entire trip, and stars so bright .. sunset delights. The highlights were many, the low times mostly at night, tricky to sleep. Noisy, bumpy and thumpy ocean but never lonely with so many of us aboard. More shock and awe than fear, I bravely say. Worries aplenty, but all in a days work for a sailor. It’s just that only one of us was one of those…. oh, but we’re working on it.

It’s now Monday night … It has taken us 2 days to find internet and we still rejoice the arrival. Ted has gone to a resort with Sophie and Han has run off to a villa with Jack. Naomi puts up with us but loves the shopping and the sponsored meals OUT. Tricia and Paul and Darragh arrive Saturday. Yay!!! Much fun ahead. Xx
